Wash dark colours separately. Keep those shirt and t-shirts white. Check the pockets and maybe look at using a bleaching agent to keep those white sparkling.

1. Measure your detergent. Too much can cause fading if it contains a bleaching agent. You see a lot of parents in a rush and do a “shake” measure. If this is you, buy capsules and use 1 or 2 as recommended.
2. Get to know your materials i.e. shirts, dresses, trousers, underwear are all different materials. Know your machine cycles from wool to your delicate wash.
